Hello and welcome to another Still in the Storm post!
Before I jump into this week’s topic I wanted to make a brief appeal to you. I realized that if I don’t use my God given gifts to help others then I am nothing. Many have lost jobs due to Covid vaccine mandates and are looking to generate new income sources. There are a lot who have been injured by the vaccines. My platform and following are not large by any means, but I’d like to use them to promote and help anyone who is struggling and wants to have their voice heard. Now on to the main event! This week I’m digging into a hot topic that has interested many over the last 3 years. Want to take a guess?
If you said, “viruses” you’d be correct!
I’m giving a short primer on viruses and discussing two key areas, visualization and isolation. I think these are critical to understanding whether there is sufficient evidence for the existence of viruses and if so, whether they’d even be capable of causing disease.
By visualization I’m referring to whether or not it is possible to view a virus. Someone recently asked me whether I’d ever seen one so, I thought it would be good to respond to that because it is a critical point.
Did you know that viruses cannot be seen under a standard light microscope? Their size would be too small to see even under the highest magnification. Over the last few years I found out that many people didn’t realize that.
I’ll discuss the implications of that and the only option that we do have available, electron microscopy, which has a lot of issues.
The other area I’m discussing is isolation as this is a big point of contention. What does this actually refer to and why is it important? Check out the video to find out!
Looking ahead, I’m planning to spin this into a discussion about gain of function and lab generated virus-like particles, but I felt it was important to cover this first.
